Cats are natural-born climbers and always looking for high places to observe their surroundings. Cat shelves provide a multi-level platform for cats to climb and enjoy indoors.

The Luna Cat shelf is part of a 3 piece ‘Build it yourself’ cat wall unit set. The Luna curved cat shelf comes with a removable cushion that can also get washed. The bottom of the cushion is fastened to the shelf with metal poppers and the L-shaped brackets at the back of the shelf are used for mounting against the wall. The wall units are durable and very strong and can hold up to 10kg.

South African designer brand Jelico uses natural bamboo, hardened with a natural coating, and handmade into a high-looking cat wall that integrates with the indoor space and provides a multi-layered platform for cats to climb and sleep indoors.

Natural materials, stable structure

Bamboo is a natural material that is very strong and durable. The bamboo is already treated with a natural coating and hardener which makes for easy maintenance and cleaning. Routine cleaning of the bamboo is advised by wiping with a dampened cloth and mild detergent to remove everyday soil.

The cushion is durable and machine washable

100% Polyester, Rub count 40 000.
The cushion cover is removeable and can get washed at 30% light wash cycle. Cool iron on reverse.

OUR STORY
It all started with a cat named Coco…

We are a husband and wife team with an immense passion for animals and keen interior enthusiasts. We had just newly renovated our apartment, but had one small issue which was the fact that our cat, ‘Coco’ didn’t have a living space that blended in with our décor and aesthetics. As a keen member of the family, and technically the “boss” of the house, we could not remove her beloved cat stand and throne (which had already been torn to shreds) from the living room. We eventually custom made our own cat stand for the living room and the rest is history.

In 2021, Jelico was born and since then we have been filling homes with beautifully hand crafted pet furniture pieces. Every year the product ranges have been growing and we have naturally expanded the collection to also include home decor and furniture items.
