Brand introduction

MiaCara's founder, Sebastian Zweig, is a visionary entrepreneur who recognized a critical gap in the pet product market. With over a decade of executive experience at renowned international brands like LEGO, Schwan-Stabilo, and premium Swiss furniture manufacturer De Sede, Zweig repeatedly observed a troubling pattern: most pet products failed to deliver on their quality promises.

The turning point came when his beloved Labrador, Cara, refused to rest on a new dog bed—not from discomfort, but from fear of the rustling foam balls inside. That single moment crystallized his vision: pet products could—and should—be better. Combining his deep expertise in furniture design and high-quality materials with his wife's creative sensibilities, Zweig and his family decided to create something different.

What began as a passionate idea in 2011 has evolved into MiaCara, Germany's premier pet furniture brand. The company's philosophy is straightforward yet uncompromising: every product must be functional, of exceptional quality, and beneficial to the animal—and when those foundations are solid, it should also be beautiful enough to enhance any home.
